Cutting & Creasing
Our Heidelberg creasing machines are capable of producing a variety of operations including Kiss-Cutting, Die cutting, Creasing, Perforating & Embossing.The machines can work on a minimum sheet size of 297mm x 210mm up to a maximum sheet size of 560mm x 820mm.
We are able to run material from 70Gsm to 1200 Micron.
Guillotining
We have guillotining facilities at all of our sites and they are fitted with High Speed Tungsten Carbide blades which give much longer lifetimes between blade changes and a much improved quality of cut over the standard style of blade. They also produce excellently presented pallets of 2pp work, which reduces the risk of waste & damage during subsequent transit.
Folder Make-Up
Our Fidia folder/Gluing and Moll machines allow us to make up of a vast array of pockets and folders from conventional folders to medical and legal pocket covers to CD wallets. This sophisticated, hi-tech machinery is capable of gluing and folding a wide range of folders and pockets from simple A4 folders to more complicated capacity folders.
We would recommend a minimum weight of 170gsm for flat folders and 240gsm for capacity folders, and ensure that the folder/wallet is slightly larger than the contents. Please avoid print or machine sealers in the glue flap areas.
Embossing
Embossing gives you the opportunity to enhance your print with stunning 3-D effects. Embossing is particularly effective when used in conjunction with our other processes i.e. matt lamination and spot U.V with the spot U.V image embossed out of the lamination or foil blocking and embossing… Let your imagination run wild!!!
Film Output
Working with client's pdfs we have the ability to output film, enabling the team to offer a seamless service on Spot UV Varnishing. The films are computer generated and can be output in minutes so even last minute jobs can be processed thanks to the technology we have invested in.
Forme Making
We also has the ability to make your die-cutting forms providing a one stop service, further enhancing the support available across a complete job. If this is a requirement, please enquire for more details.
Hand Finishing and eyeletting
We are able to produce high quality hand finishing for just one reason. We have been doing it for a long time and so have our hand finishing and eyeletting staff! Our girls are used to checking for print faults such as "hickeys" and "dusting powder" under laminated surfaces as they handle your work piece by piece. Issues such as this will be flagged up to you if it proves to be a major issue, otherwise such items will be put to one side until we know what kind of impact it will have on your final quantity. Our own hand-finishing work is checked by a table supervisor at the time of production and also at the packing tables.
Booklet Making and Collating
We provide bespoke booklet printing to suit your every need, including company reports, product catalogues, newsletters, advertising brochures, yearbooks, magazines, manuals, price lists and more.we can collate up to 30 sheets at a time on our horizon vac-100 at up to 8000 a4 sheets per hour
Scoring
Scoring is a method of reducing paper stiffness along a line in order to aid in folding. Press scores (litho score) and old style folding machine scores (e.g. steel scoring blade between steel or rubber collars) are two examples. They simply weaken the sheet to aid in folding we have a few methods of doing this by using a Rollem scoring machine for short runs and a heidelberg cylinder for large runs
Paper Drilling and Punching
We have 2 Hang multi punching drills and 2 Iram paper hole punching machines capable of multipunching large volumes of paper or card and large documents,we can punch sinlge holes ,2 holes or 4 hole punch
